So the Balas Family is starting a new lifestyle! We are trying our hardest to eat a healthy diet. We are not on a weight loss program rather just trying to cut out junk and put more nutritious items into our mouths! I will be experimenting with new recipes that are on the healthy side and hopefully are practical for a toddler and baby, meaning non time consuming and edible! Wish us luck and enjoy!

The Green Smoothie
Since we have started our "health kick" we have been drinking these smoothies in the morning. You can really do whatever you feel like . I put kefir milk(you could do lowfat yogurt or rice milk, if you are doing it for kids and want the extra fat for them you could do almond milk or coconut milk or whole milk yogurt.) peaches, bananas, agave, carrots, and spinach. Anyway everybody around here loves them and they are a great dose of vegetables.
