So the other day I tried an orange marinade that I was for the most part unimpressed with. So because it wasn't what I expected it left me with a bit of hankering for the real deal. So I found a recipe at all recipes
for an orange chicken and I really liked it. I didn't follow the recipe spot on but rather the ingredient list. I cut most of the brown sugar for... you guessed it agave, honey, and this time I used a little bit of cane sugar. It was pretty tasty! For the chicken I wanted fried unhealthy but opted for a somewhat healthier lighter cornstarch battered chicken. All you do is take a little soy, a little garlic, water, and enough cornstarch to make the mixture feel smooth. Then you let the chicken soak in it while it batters the chicken (you do stir it once in a while as well). The I took a skillet and cooked it in a couple tbsps of olive oil, it was a good compromise, it makes for really moist chicken! The fried rice was revisted with carrots! Ha anyway we were way happier with this orange chicken sauce!
