Teriyaki Chicken Thighs with Orange, Carrot, Craisin, and Pear Salad

So I actually followed an exact recipe for this chicken! I got it from a great blog, it is homemade teriyaki glaze. I did substitute half of the brown sugar for agave and honey (I couldn't make up my mind!) Anyway this was a really great sauce!
The salad I took some carrots kind of cooked them in olive oil so they would be a little soft then I took chicken broth and orange juice, a speck of butter, and pinch of cornstarch and poured over the top of them, I let them simmer for a while until I thought they had gotten a bit of flavor and I poured them into a bowl to let them soak up more of the sauce, while they sat there I added craisins (actually they are not as healthy as one would suppose, but not terribly unhealthy either so I gave them a place in the recipe). I then had part of a pear leftover from my son's afternap binge (he has to eat like every five minutes so his long nap almost does him in ha) and I just diced it and threw it in! I took a mixed green salad and cut extra spinach into it then put olive oil, agave, lemon pepper, and vinegar on it. I mixed the carrot, craisin, and pear dish after it had cooled) with the greens and there you have it. This recipe was pretty great! I actually thought it would be great if you didn't want the greens to just take the carrot thing with hte chicken and sauce over rice noodles? Anyway I really like the teriyaki sauce, it was a geat recipe! We have to see how the husband reacts too the confrontational salad ha!
